Presence and Self-Compassion Urban Retreat for Therapists, Educators and Caregivers: Mindful Drumming, Photography and Meditation

CMBH 505 Eglinton Ave West, Suite 200, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Offering compassionate care and teaching can be immensely rewarding, yet emotionally demanding for helping professionals, caregivers, and educators. Sustained attention and care of others, as a therapist, educator, parent or child of aging parents, without a balance of compassion and care for self, can lead to burn-out and exhaustion.

POSTPONED: Mindful Eating (MB-EAT): 8 Week Group

CMBH 505 Eglinton Ave West, Suite 200, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Mindful eating is an approach to food and eating that fosters greater awareness of the relationship between your  thoughts, emotions and eating behaviour. It helps you be flexible in how you understand food and eating. You develop an approach  that is accepting and joyful. Mindful eating decreases overeating, binge eating and emotional eating. Mindful eating is not a diet or weight loss plan; it is  a way of relating to food and to your body that is compassionate and balanced.
