It helps you be flexible in how you understand food and eating. You develop an approach that is accepting and joyful. Mindful eating decreases overeating, binge eating and emotional eating. Mindful eating is not a diet or weight loss plan; it is a way of relating to food and to your body that is compassionate and balanced.
