We are thrilled to announce our Spring 2023 training will be hosted by Deborah A. Dana, LCSW. Join us for this two-day training, Navigating the Nervous System: A Polyvagal Approach to Working with Complex Trauma.

MSC is a skill-based program offered in a group format. Program activities include meditation, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussion, and home practices. MSC is a skills group rather than a retreat. The goal is for participants to directly experience self-compassion and learn practices that evoke self-compassion in daily life.

This 4-week course, offered through the Centre for MindBody Health, provides a comprehensive examination of DBT-PTSD based on a psycho-social model. Within this model, dysfunctional behaviors are understood as strategies to avoid or escape from trauma-associated primary emotions like powerlessness, threat, anxiety, disgust, humiliation, or sexual arousal.
