Dr. Tanya Teall received her doctorate in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto and is currently registered as a clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She works with older adolescents and adults and has particular expertise in eating disorders, difficulties with emotion regulation, and impulsive behavior. Tanya’s primary treatment approaches include Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her training and experience includes positions in hospital, community and private practice settings. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in the Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic and in the Psychological Trauma Program. She has also worked in the Hospital for Sick Children Eating Disorder Program. Tanya has longstanding research interests related to women’s embodiment, body image and eating disorders.
