Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group

Open Admission

What to Expect:

Our Skills Groups are held weekly on:

  • Tuesdays (6p – 8p)
  • Wednesdays (10a – 12p)

You choose your preferred group and attend weekly virtual sessions. You must be seeing an individual therapist regularly. Your therapist is not required to be from our clinic although upon request we can match you with one of our Clinical Associates.

The DBT Skills Group program is completed over a period of 24 weeks. There are three modules, each is eight weeks:

  1. Emotion Regulation
  2. Distress Tolerance
  3. Interpersonal Effectiveness

Mindfulness practice is incorporated into all three modules.

Additional Information:

  • All sessions take place online
  • Open to residents of Ontario, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and Nunavut
  • Fees may be covered under extended health benefits
  • Both groups are led by a Psychologist and Social Worker/Registered Psychotherapist

How to Secure Your Spot in One of our Groups:

If you would like to pursue group therapy and are already connected to an individual therapist in the community, an orientation and assessment is required. It is conducted virtually by one of the two group leaders with whom you would be working.

Please reserve a brief Discovery Call. One of our Care Coordinators will gather some information from you and quickly arrange a meeting with a DBT Group Leader.
